Amanda Mah
Amanda Mah is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor degree in Health Sciences from Stony Brook University and her B.S.N from College of Mount Saint Vincent, Riverdale. She then completed her Master of Science from Molloy College. Before pursuing her master degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center, as a Registered Nurse for 10 years. Amanda is currently an active member of AWHONN and AANP. After being trained as a Nurse Practitioner student for her Pediatric rotation by Dr. Ooi at Happiness Pediatrics, she decided to join our practice. From Amanda’s own words “Pediatrics is such a privilege and rewarding experience because you get to impact someone’s life during their developmental years. They are curious, creative and just a breath of fresh air. I would like to provide evidence-based care to our community and continue to educate our families on providing the best for our little ones”. Due to her passion in pediatric care, Amanda is currently pursuing her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
Grace Yen Hoong Ooi
Grace Yen Hoong Ooi, MD, graduated from the renowned McGill University School of Medicine in Canada. With a strong belief in evidence-based medicine, she pursued her passion for scientific research at Harvard University. Dr. Ooi then chose to dedicate herself to caring for children and completed her postgraduate Pediatric Residency at Albert Einstein Medical College in New York. Dr. Ooi is accredited by the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been tirelessly serving the underserved community for over 10 years.
Dr. Ooi is widely acclaimed for her minimalist intervention approach. She places strong emphasis on promoting the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being in early childhood, and she rigorously applies this philosophy at Happiness Pediatrics. Beyond her clinical practice, she also serves as a clinical instructor at Weil Cornell Medical Center and NYU Langone Hospital, as well as acting as an avid educator in many other healthcare programs throughout New York. Her exceptional contributions to children’s healthcare have not gone unnoticed, as she has been recognized as one of the top IPA providers at Healthfirst quality incentive program. Dr. Ooi is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Louis Wan is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University and then earned his Master of Science degree at Wagner College on Staten Island. He began his nursing career 15 years ago in the hospital setting, focusing on heart conditions ranging from stable to acute critical care. Prior to his dedication to nursing, Louis focused on community health education, particularly in Asian communities. Since early 2023, Louis has been a part of the Happiness Pediatrics team, providing compassionate pediatric care. His goal is to educate patients and parents on how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, and reduce the risk of developing chronic illnesses, which is imperative to start at a young age. He is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

Lily Wong is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Associate of Science in Nursing from Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing and her Bachelor degree in Nursing from New York City College of Technology. She then completed her Master of Science from SUNY Downstate. Prior to her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Lily worked as a Registered Nurse at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn. Lily decided to complete her pediatric rotation at Happiness Pediatrics, and during her training, she loved being able to educate patients’ families and children continuously from infancy through adolescence. She enjoys working with children as she believes they are innocent and strong. Since 2021, Lily has been part of the Happiness Pediatrics Team, building strong bonds with patients and their families. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish and English.
