Caring for Both Mental and Physical Health in Children
A child’s health is more than just the physical health — it is the foundation for their growth, learning, and emotional well-being. Research has shown that mental health and physical health are deeply interconnected. Children with untreated anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues may struggle with sleep, nutrition, immunity, and academic performance. Similarly, chronic physical conditions can impact a child’s emotional development and self-esteem.
At Happiness Pediatrics, we believe in caring for the whole child. That’s why we are proud to be the only pediatric practice in the region that fully integrates mental health services within our primary care model using the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM). This innovative, evidence-based approach allows our pediatricians, child psychiatrists, and behavioral health specialists to work as a unified interdisciplinary team—identifying concerns early, providing timely intervention, and tracking progress collaboratively.<br>
By embedding mental health care into routine pediatric visits, we reduce stigma, improve access, and ensure that families receive comprehensive, compassionate support under one roof. At Happiness Pediatrics, your child’s body, mind, and spirit all matter—because true health is holistic.
